SDSN Thailand operates through a dedicated network known as SDSN Thailand, which was officially established in March 2020. This network aims to facilitate collaboration among experts from academic and practical fields to tackle sustainability issues. It promotes integrated work and knowledge exchange among Thai and international experts, supporting existing and emerging academic networks to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs in Thailand
Key organizations involved in SDSN Thailand include:
- The Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move): Operates at the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, this organization focuses on research and advocacy for sustainable development.
- Chulalongkorn University’s Peace and Conflict Studies Center: Engages in research and education related to peace and sustainable development.
- Sustainable Development Information Technology Institute (SIIT): Operates under the National Science and Technology Development Agency, focusing on technological solutions for sustainable development.
In Thailand, the establishment of SDSN network is driving the work of both academic and practical experts to solve sustainability problems by integrating work, sharing knowledge and experiences from both Thai experts and international delegates from abroad in order to support existing and emerging academic networks as a mechanism for accelerating the success of achieving SDGs in Thailand.
SDSN Thailand brings together leading scientists and researchers, a network of universities, research centers and other knowledge centers, responsible and innovative business and impact-oriented civil society organizations to build partnerships and seek synergies with existing networks and nurture newly built networks, including other existing networks. It also works closely with key government agencies to build alliances and accelerate progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.
